Balmain x H&M Collection: Everything You Need to Know Before Nov 5th!

We are now two weeks away from one of the biggest designer launches in H&M's fashion history. French fashion house Balmain is bringing their signature beading and embellishment to H&M, unfortunatly for most of us, the prices are still way out of our budget. While these items aren't "everyday" clothing, I wanted to share this gorgeous collection since there are a few pieces under $50 and for those of you who want to treat yourself and love Balmain's style, you will not be disappointed. Make sure you scroll down for all of the info after the lookbook photos and remember these are just a sampling of the collection.

Are you planing to shop this collection when it launches November 5th?

Shopping Online: I've attempted to shop H&M's designer collections online and let me tell you, this is nothing like Target's nightmare of a website, it's even worse because you can't just browse the site and shop, that's why you must know the items you want to purchase before the collection launches online. There is still no exact time given for the Nov. 5th date launch, but expect sometime after midnight and be prepared for a long night. H&M sets up a virtual "wait in line" line, make sense? You wait for the collection to launch online and when it finally does, you wait at your computer and do not hit refresh once it tells you you are "in line/next" or you lose your place, you then get 15 minutes to shop and checkout!

Shopping In-Store: Die-hard fashionistas wait in line sometimes overnight depending on what city you live in and these girls mean business. You have only 15 minutes to shop, they let people enter the store in groups and you will be given a wristband when you enter the line. There usually is a limit of how many items you can purchase, although so far, we won't know until the day of the actual launch.

*Items usually sell out on the first day, they don't go on clearance like Target's collection. You may see returns from both in store and online shoppers if you miss out. The return policy is generally 2 weeks for the designer collections.

  1. I've obviously heard a lot of hype about this collection, but I'm not sure that I'll be getting anything. It's a little too over the top and runway-ish for me...but I'll bet I may change my mind.

    Something About That

  2. I agree with you on everything, I don't really have anywhere to wear most of these items, but the more I looked thru the pics, I was like hmmm...maybe I can wear this out to Cheesecake Factory, lol. It all changes when you see things in person for sure!

    1. I just LOL'D!!! Cheesecake factory fer sure! Let's just all get a fab Balmain dress and get cheesecakes together. I'm serious. hehe

  3. Gorgeous pieces but I've found "real" Balmain for less at the Rack. I think I'm gonna have to sit this one out. I'm just too cheap LOL.

    1. I feel the same as you, once the "affordable" items hit a certain price, you may as well buy the real thing and like you, I've seen Balmain at NR too, only random pieces though.
