15 Tips to Shop the Victoria Beckham x Target Collab THIS Sunday + Wish List

It's almost here! The Victoria Beckham x Target launch is just hours away from launching online and I wanted to share tips to scoring everything on your wish list. While this particularly collection doesn't seem to have quite the level of excitement of previous collaborations, there are some pieces worth staying up for or waking up early, whichever floats your fashion boat. The pieces are already loaded and ready to go live on Target's website, so this could be the best online experience yet, or it could be a disaster in the making since they've never done it this way before haha. I'm hoping (and expecting) the former because I really don't want to stay up until 2am only to take a "nap" before hitting Target when the store opens on Sunday!

What's on your wish list - are you planing on staying up late or shopping in store Sunday?

Gingham Peplum $30 // Gingham Pants $30

The bee scarf is #1 on my wish list and will likely out fthe fastest.
Everything else will depend on the look/fit of each item in person.

Matching Pants $40 HERE

I wish the Target clothing was actually displayed like this, haha, looks gorgeous!

one of the must-have pieces from the collection

US Magazine shared a dress from VB's dress collection that sells for $2,690!
It's nearly identical in style to the Target version for $40!

The Target version for $40 shown HERE looks really similar!

This adorable paper doll book $11 shown HERE was not on the website before, too cute!

15 Tips to Shop Victoria Beckham x Target Collection:

1 Check Out The Collection HERE: Women's // Girl's' // Toddler // Baby
Be familiar with the collection by checking out the collection before it launches online. This time around is even easier since it not only shows everything that will be available, it also lists the fabric content.

2 Make Your Wish List
Prioritize your favorites! Let's say you have 20 things on your list, you might not be able to get every single thing, but getting the top three favorites will probably be better than getting ten random pieces you weren't even sure you wanted anyway.

Check The Store Locator
All Target stores will carry the collection, however selection and styles will vary by store. Call ahead to see if your store will have the specific item on your list or on the day of the launch, check the store locator listed under the item,  although it's not always 100% accurate, you can still use it as a guide.

4 Set Your Budget
After you created your wish list, add prices and think about what you might actually need for your spring/summer wardrobe, make sure to include one signature piece that is VB like the bee print scarf, you could wear that multiple times or pop it on your handbag to chic up your style.

5 Log-In and Clear Your Online Shopping Cart Hours Before the Collection Launches
I always delete everything in my cart prior to launch since having other items already in your cart could slow down the checkout process (an error message can appear that "too many items are in cart" and it will prevent you from adding the VB collection)  Make sure you are logged in and enter your credit card info and "save" it so you are ready to go. Please do this hours before it goes live online because websites will be "on maintenance" or disabled to get ready for the big launch.

6 Place Orders for "Online Only" and Your Must-Have Items First
Items will say "online exclusive" usually when the collection launches, however right now you can isolate your selection on the side of the page HERE  by "in store or online" and it will show you slightly more items available online. Remember, you can place multiple orders with either free shipping if you are a REDcard holder or free shipping on orders of $25 or more because once those items are gone, they're gone. You might get lucky finding returned merchandise at a store, but don't take that chance if it's something you really want.

7 When In Doubt, Order Both Sizes / Prints
Since sizing can be tricky (especially with online items you haven't even seen!), you'll want to make sure at least one of the items fits correctly and the best way to ensure that happens is to order the two sizes you might wear. Target has the easiest returns, so don't hesitate. *Plus sizes will now be available in most stores!

8 Place Multiple Orders
I usually end up placing two orders with the designer collections, the first one includes my must-have items that I don't want to risk losing by continuing to shop. The second order is usually I was considering and are still available (yay).

9 Click-Buy
#MyMotto I say this all the time, but checking out fast and not over-thinking something is the only way to shop these launches, this is not the time to be indecisive. Do not start shopping non-VB items because they can disappear in a second even if it's in your cart, just because it's in your cart, does not mean it's reserved or "on hold" for you.

10 Be Prepared to Stay Up All Night If You Want To Shop Online
Target never announces the exact time of the online launch, basically to avoid their site crashing, unfortunately it still usually crashes at some pint, so be patient. Like I've said before, this time could go smoothly online and there could be little to no major glitches. I start checking their website online at 9pm, then again every hour on the hour, although it generally launches between 12 midnight and 2 am, painful I know. However, this collection is already loaded with links online, we just have to wait for it to officially go "live" with might be sooner this time around, hoping for at least 12am!

11 Check What Time Your Store Opens...and get up early to grab Starbucks ;-)
I noticed my store recently starting opening at 7am, I know most locations open at 8am, but you never know until you check the store locator HERE. You probably stayed up late the night before shopping those online exclusives, but choose another time to catch up on your sleep and grab a coffee, thankfully Starbucks is available at almost every Target stores.  Depending on what area you live in, there might be lines in major cities, and arrive 15-30 minutes early if you have anything on your wish list you do not want to miss.

12 Check More Than One Store Location
I shop at a Target that is close to four more locations! That way, if one store doesn't have what I'm looking for, I can quickly move on to the next location for more merchandise. Larger stores like "Target Greatland" carry a wider selection of clothing in general and the inventory is better overall. However, sometimes checking a smaller store is also a good idea since you might be one of the few customers shopping the collection, it's happened to me more than once.

13 Know the Return Policy
This collection will have a 14-day return policy previous collaborations at Target have followed.
If you aren't thrilled with your purchase, maybe waiting for clearance is a better option for you, if you don't love it, don't keep it. Clearance markdowns are usually four weeks after the launch date (sometimes sooner if they aren't selling or there are only miscellaneous items left) *REDcard holders have 30 days this time!

14 Consider A Target REDcard
I've mentioned this before but years ago, I opened up a REDcard when Missoni launched to take advantage of free shipping (with no minimum!), 5% on all orders, and an extended return policy (extra 30 days for most items) including the VB collection, yay!

15 Follow Social Media
Be the first to shop the collection online by checking social media. While I have Target's Website up (I continue refreshing the page), I also have my phone next to me checking Instagram using the hashtag #VBxTARGET (and other variations), Facebook on Target Style's page here. Sometimes links to items go up before the "official" launch and you can score items early.

Happy Shopping!
