Currently Craving: Minimalist Chic Under $30

Lately I've been trying to add more items to my closet that have clean lines, sheer silhouettes, and yes, more black. While spring brings florals and bright colors, I've been looking for a few basics because my wardrobe could use a few style updates. I also find that I gravitate toward those pieces when I'm in a hurry since they always work well together with minimal effort. Thankfully,  Forever 21 has also added more and more minimalistic items this past month after taking a cue from street chic looks and of course the leader in semi-affordable fashion, Zara. I'm sharing items I've seen in store that look more expensive than their price tag, always a good thing.

What do you think of this style?

Fedora $14.90 Forever 21 has been my go-to place to pick  up trendy hats under twenty dollars, an easy way to add style to any look.

Draped Blouse $24.95 This was seriously so pretty in person and it's available in more colors in store if you aren't looking for a white blouse.

Kitten Heels $29.95 I saw these on my way out of H&M, they were displayed on the floor off to the side, and I ran out of time to shop. I'll be going back for these so I can try them on, you can never have too many nude/blush heels, especially one that is a shorter heel.

Faux Leather Skirt $27.90 I thought this skirt was going to have a higher price tag when I spotted it on the rack, get to the store as soon as you can because it will be going fast. Pair it with spring colors to wear now and through the summer. A perfect year-round skirt.

Denim Jumpsuit $27.90 I am really into chambray and denim this year and thought this was a cool way to wear it, I still don't have a full jumpsuit (whaaat?).

Essie Nail Polish 'Curtain Call' $8.50 This color is a pearlized pinky shade, a nice alternative to your basic nude.

Necklace $3.90 I have also been shopping the jewelry area more this year at F21 since they have really stepped up that department too, where else can yo find simple and chic pieces for less than a Starbucks latte.

Blouse $12.90 I confess, I will probably be buying a couple of these tops, love the style and seriously could not believe the price. I've seen very similar tops for way more money!

The Draped Blouse is even better in the store.

  1. I trust your judgement, so I'll bet #8 is really nice in person!

I find sometimes these sorts of tops look incredible online, and then you see them in person and it's like, no.

    1. Thank you, I try to only share things I see in person for that very reason! I'm always surprised how different some things look in person after looking like a must have online and looking completely unwearable at the store.
