Bonjour and Happy Bastille Day! For the French obsessed like moi, it's a perfect excuse to share Parisian inspired style and eat a croissant #leduh. Stripes, leopard, splashes of red are go-to pieces to achieve this timeless look, add some modern touches like your favorite statement tee and denim shorts to mix it up with a quilted handbag and voilà!

1 Jacket I love that we can already find "fall markdowns" on quality jackets..just in time for the cold!

2 Brush Set I am in the market for new brushes and love the richness of these and of course the cute snakeskin case.

3 Faux Croc Tote I never need a new tote or bag..but I love the different textures on this bag.

4 Tassel Bracelet This bracelet is elevated thanks to the tassel and the cool beetle, very Tory Burch.

5 Riding Boots The rich brown and chain link detail are a steal at this price.

6 Bird Sweater This very J.Crew reminiscent sweater is so tweet.

7 Nail Polish Set I love all the colors in this set - so rich and warm.

8 Studded Gloves If I am going to wear gloves, why not wear a studded pair?

Paris Fashion Week is in full swing, and while I am not in the city of lights (the Paris Hotel in Vegas will be as close as I get this year!), I do enjoy wearing some French-inspired clothing while I eat my morning croissant, oui, oui. Modern Ballerina for under $25.90 ;-)

This past weekend, I went shopping at two malls to check out all the latest trends. I noticed very feminine and ballerina-inspired pieces at several stores, also heavily influenced by French style. While most fall items dictate a darker color palette, pastels are actually a new trend for fall and look especially current paired with camel brown, greys or navy. Extra points for topping this look off with a topknot!

One of the leading trends this season is a one-piece sweater with a blousy fabric peeking out that mimics a sweater over a shirt, sounds complicated, but trust me, it's cute! I had my eye on this Masion Jules sweater, but now that Target has made an affordable version, I'll be picking up theirs instead, since it is such a seasonal and trendy piece. Don't forget to put a bow on it la Kate Spade with this adorable belt. I am loving everything from Zara this season and they carry so many affordable and well made pieces, I feel compelled to stop there every weekend, even if I am just browsing..for now anyway.

Catherine Malandrino x Kohls Look Book is here!!

Bonjour Fashionistas! French Designer Catherine Malandrino brings her Parisian flair to Kohls later this month. The 80-piece Limited Edition DesigNation Collection has been hotly anticipated by the French obsessed (myself included) and it does not disappoint. The clothing has a timeless feel to it with black being the primary "color" and Eiffel towers adorning dresses and tees alike. Between this and the upcoming 3.1 Phillip Lim for Target, shopping at discount stores has never been more chic!

The full collection arrives online and in stores on Friday, September 27.

New Maison Jules Collection at Macy's!! {French Chic}

I stopped at Macy's to see if they had anything new worth sharing and I am happy to report the answer is a big yes! Thanks to the new French inspired Maison Jules Collection that debuted very recently. This line reminds me of Anthropologie, although it is definitely more affordable and accessible since not all of us are near an Anthro store. While most of the items aren't in this fashionistas budget, it is Macy's after all, so expect sale prices soon. They do have some basic t-shirts, tanks, and various cute striped tees for under $25, but the star pieces are the adorable dresses and Carrie Bradshaw style sweater. I tried on a few things so I can grab what I want in the the correct sizes when they do hit the sale rack.
