Celeb Style Notebook: Olivia Palermo's Skirt for Less than $40!

It's been almost a week since the Lilly for Target launch and the buzz has already shifted to the latest designer collaboration, the gorgeous Milly for DesigNation sold at Kohls. Since Olivia Palermo has become a style icon, it's no surprise that her chic look from the launch party is circulating everywhere and for good reason since many of us already have a closet full of chambray and denim shirts (if you don't, now is the time to scoop one up). This is a perfect way to break up a busy floral print and mix and match items you already own.

Celeb Style Notebook: Emmy Rossum wearing Peter Som for Kohls!

Actress Emmy Rossum is becoming quite the fashionista (she was the previous celeb look on my blog) and this week she was spotted wearing the latest designer collaboration from Peter Som for Kohls.

It's probably no secret if you read my blog that I looove stripes and this is actually one of my purchases I ordered from his collection. While she looks cute pairing her top with black shorts, I plan on wearing mine with boyfriend jeans or these distressed denim shorts from Target I just ordered. Either way, it's a chic way to wear a few basics.

Celeb Style Notebook: Emmy Rossum under $30

I immediately loved this casual Parisian look on Emmy Rossum. Seen in Beverly Hills grabbing  breakfast a few days ago, this very simple and chic look can be recreated with items under $30 or with things you probably already have in your closet.

While I loved the pop of red handbag with the red shoes, I find it very difficult to match the shades of red. I myself own quite a few red bags and shoes and I wouldn't wear any of them together because it  wouldn't look as polished as I would like. I love the idea of breaking up the reds with a nice neutral bag and this one from Forever 21 is so nice and white bags are a must-have for this season.

Celebrity Style Notebook: Taylor Swift wearing H&M!

Taylor Swift wearing a $15 retro-style polka dress from H&M while out shopping in Los Angeles is creating all sorts of online buzz. Celebrity style is usual way out of the average person's affordable budget, but since this is the actual dress and it is currently in stock (although not for long I'm sure!), you can get chic like a star. Even if you aren't feeling the Taylor love, the dress is very cute and easy to wear for a casual weekend. While I don't own this dress, I have seen it many times in various colors and keep in mind, it is not a super short dress, Taylor is just a tall girl.

Celeb Style Notebook: Reese Witherspoon + Sale Codes + Free Weekend Deals!!

Mandy Moore looks modern day chic at the Topshop Holiday Celebration in Los Angeles. You can get her look for less or some of the actual pieces she's wearing from Topshop. If you already have similar items in your wardrobe, grab your favorite sweater (thin enough to casually tuck into a pencil skirt) ankle boots and pair with semi-messy hair for that effortless style.

Celeb Style Notebook: Eva Mendes

The denim on denim look is nothing new, but Eva Mendes wears this chic casual look in Beverly Hills styled with light and dark denim together. I saved this look from a few days ago in hopes of recreating it with an affordable pink coat, and today I walked into Target and spotted this beautiful wool coat for forty dollars. Get her look for less with only six pieces and remember to cuff your jeans and shirt for that extra cool factor (swagger not included.)

Gwen Stefani may be one of the most stylish celebs around and her Memorial Day outfit is an easy way for us fashion lovers to rock a similar look for less with pieces many of us already own. Although I love Gwen's red bag, for most of us, it is nearly impossible to match two shades of red in the same outfit and I prefer this black bag as an alternative (it is a beautiful bag in person). While I couldn't find her edgier pant, Mango has so many white pant options perfect for summer. My favorite find has to be the shoes, a true steal for less than $20 and almost identical to Gwen's more expensive wedges.

Gwyneth Paltrow looked edgier than usual in Los Angeles for her Book launch. She is wearing an Isabel Marant Dress and belt and gorgeous Michael Kors shoes, of course I couldn't quite find an identical version of the shoes, but since it is getting warmer, these are a good alternative. I recently saw this dress at Forever 21 and couldn't believe how close it is to the designer dress. Since it is her book tour, I had to add to this to the mix.

I chose Emily's look because she is one of many celebs to be rocking a denim vest and they are back again and bigger than ever. You can score an affordable one just about anywhere right now and one of the best places (besides Target and Forever 21) is at your local Marshalls or TJMaxx. I saw quite a few this past weekend for as little as $20, a great way to add some edge or a vintage feel to your look. Even though Emily is only grocery shopping in Los Angeles, I would have thrown on a scarf or long necklace on to add some visual interest or a pop of color.
