JCPenney New Stylus Collection: Store Pics + Columbus Day Sales!

A few days ago, I spotted new (and affordable!) fall arrivals at JCPenney. While I didn't have as much time as I would have liked to take more photos, JCP's in-house brand Stylus added almost an entire floor of new clothing. I loved a.n.a collection of plaids and cozy fabrics and often forget how cute their pieces are. Also make sure you stop by the Sephora store inside JCP because they always have exclusive sets you can't find at the stand alone Sephora stores and they are starting to get in the popular holiday kits you don't want to miss.

Today is a big day of Columbus Day sales - scroll down for all the links and codes!

JCP 'Stylus' New Arrival In-Store Pics!

The latest summer collection from JcPenney's in house brand Stylus has some cute pieces, but overall, it needs some work in the styling department. Stylus is on trend with their lemon romper and tees, however I'm not sure they know what demographic they are going after since it has younger trendy styles mixed with let's say "frumpy" for lack of a better word. With that in mind and sales almost every week at 40% off plus extra discounts with their coupons, be selective in what you choose and try to see all of it in person first because sizing is all over the place. In case you missed my last JCP post, this brand is replacing Joe Fresh, although my store still has tons of JF and it's not even on clearance yet, the transition seems to be a lengthy one if this location is any indication.

What do you think of the latest collection / brand?

The back of the lemon tee is adorable too!

I do love the creativity of the style boards

Italian vibe throughout the new collection

JCPenney In Store Pics of New Brand!

Thanks to following another shopping addict over on Instagram, I knew I needed to go shopping at JCPenney this week to check out their new in-house brand, Stylus. Rumors are that the Joe Fresh label is jumping ship and while it's still available at my store, I did notice an unusual amount of online clearance. The good news is that the replacement line is here and some pieces are similar to J.Crew but at more affordable prices. While not everything is something I would wear,  I love the direction they are headed and many pieces are on trend and great for spring. I took advantage of the super low discounts that start at 40% off! They have more items available online since it looks like this location is still receiving their merchandise, so make sure you check everything out for yourself!

What do you think of this new brand?

Joe Fresh at JCP New Fall Arrivals on sale!!

I stopped at JCP to see the New Fall looks from Joe Fresh. Black and white dominated the preppy and chic pieces. With JCP back to having sales (yay!), these items are currently 25% off the already low prices! My store didn't have all of the things I browsed online, so I included a few of those items to show you what will be coming soon to your store. I went home with the polka dot shirt and envision wearing it with jeans for a casual look or a skirt and statement necklace to dress it up.

Will you be shopping Joe Fresh this season - any favorites?

Orange Crush under $25

I have a major crush on the color orange this season and there is no shortage of shades to be found. Here are some of the finds for less than $25 to add some pop to your look. One of my favorites ways to wear this bold color is to pair it with navy or light grey, both acting as a neutral to create a fresh and polished look.
Do you have a color crush on orange - what is your favorite way to wear it?

Flea Market Chic - under $30

Flea market chic is my idea of how to dress and accessorize when you do a little outdoor shopping and for me that usually just means hitting my local outdoor mall with a water fountain, Starbucks, and Anthropologie all in one place. Although I am not an actual "flea market" girl, I definately
romanticize the notion of casually walking through the Paris streets and finding the perfect piece for my home while sipping a cappuccino. These are all the essentials needed for your own weekend stroll in the warm summer months ahead and all for less than $30.

Ps. Thank you to everyone who stayed with me through my blogging hiatus after being struck with the flu and for anyone who left me well wishes, it was much appreciated ♥

Do you have any weekend must have's for your shopping trips?

Weekend Shopping List:

1 Sunnies These retro sunglasses have just the right vibe
2 Casual Tote These "map" totes are Made in USA and are also available in a shorter tote version and other cities, of cousre I chose Paris.
3 Fun and Bright Scarf to add a pop of color and style and this one is by Artist Vera Neumann
4 Cute Sun Hat with denim bow - need I say more?
5 Bicycle Tee's always remind me of Paris and have that cool vintage feel
6 Lightweight Chambray Skirt to wear with anything
7 Cardigan Sweater is always good to have with you after shopping all day and a change of weather
8 Espadrilles I could have chosen a less expensive pair, but these are so nice and worth spending some extra money on and the colors go with everything.. Ps. They also come in leopard print!

Happy Shopping and Thanks for reading!

Happy Chic by Jonathan Adler at JCP

I am beyond excited to shop JCP's (yes, they are at it again!) Happy Chic Collection by Designer Jonathan Adler. While the collection isn't yet available at all stores, you can shop online for these super affordable finds that will certainly add some fun and whimsy to your space. This is just a small sampling of what is available and these last few days I have going through the entire collection piece by piece to bring you items for less than $50. Shop online to see all the cuteness for yourself here

What do you think of Happy Chic - any early favorites on your shopping list?

{Splurge v. Steal} J.Crew v. Joe Fresh for JCP + launch pics!

Canadian retailer Joe fresh arrived at JCP this past weekend to excited customers (myself included). I was there on Saturday morning and was impressed at the affordable prices and strong resemblance to high end retailer J.Crew. When I first spotted the little checkered shirts, I knew it looked familiar, but it wasn't until I walked by J.Crew's store the next day (yes, I hit the mall twice this weekend) that I noticed a very similar shirt. I almost went back to JCP for a few more after that close encounter..and still might. Don't wait to pick one of these up, they seem to be their best seller and now we know why. Shop Joe Fresh Collection
Did you shop the collection or are you planning to in the future?

Joe Fresh Gingham Shirt $19 // J.Crew $69.50 (reg $78)

{Joe Fresh for JCP}

  Joe Fresh is here!

Apparently some of the Joe Fresh stores are located in supermarkets, which is where the "fresh"
term originated (in case you were wondering ;-)

The "store within a store" shop

The popular gingham shirts and solid voile shirts (thinner, lightweight material)

 Cardigan Sweaters for only $16

Slim-fit Colored Jeans for $19
I really wanted to love them, but they just seemed to have too much material in all the wrong places.

Blue and red printed dresses and tops looked more expensive than their price tag

 Cute striped dresses

This group reminded me a bit of H&M

Random same day pic at Marshalls:
I was walking by and noticed the orange tag! This was the very first time I had ever seen Joe Fresh at Marshalls (only in the pj's dept), I think it may have been on my radar because of the JCP launch.

LULU by Lulu Guinness for JCP - Spring Collection

The New LULU by Lulu Guinness for JCP has arrived and it is just as adorable the second time around. JcPenney went all out for this new spring collection with it's own "store within a store" shop (their new format showcasing designer duds) complete with matching polka dot carpet, yay! I think the new look of their store is very shoppable and their eye catching displays have made it more fun. Up next is the Canadian brand Joe Fresh and I cannot wait! Shop LULU here *Take $10 off your online purchase using code SPENDIT or print your in store coupon here

What do you think of Lulu or shopping at JCP - are you a fan?

Loving the new displays in JCP - so cute!

Polka dots are still huge in this second collection

*side note: The "Chanel" style bag in the center is actually Betseyville, not LULU. I am guessing employees were trying to fill in the empty spaces, too bad they didn't know you shouldn't mix brands in this type of a display (minor gripe I know)

Polka-dot frenzy!
